About Google Nexus 6
Google has announced its latest smartphone, The Nexus 6 and is considered Google’s best handset to date. The Nexus 6 6 will be available for preorder in late October and will go on sale in November. The phone will sell for $649 without a two-year contract. Google also says the Nexus 6 will be available through all five major carriers — including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. This is surprising, since Google previously only sold its phones through the Google Play store and T-Mobile.
The Google Nexus 6 will come with 5.9-inch screen, which is much bigger than 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus and 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 4. It’s one inch shy of being the same size as Google’s Nexus 7 tablet. The Google Nexus 6 will be one of the first phones that will feature Google’s latest Android software update, The Google Android 5.0 Lollipop
The phone has a 6-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage and a 13-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization. While some of these features where released by Google, there are some Nexus 6 features that Google isn’t talking about that might be important to certain buyers.
Hidden Features of Google Nexus 6
The Nexus 6 is water-resistant. This feature is not listed on Google’s Nexus 6 product page, but is listed on Motorola’s listing for the handset.
Nexus 6 handset is also pack with a 3,220 mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly, also a feature not mentioned on the official Nexus 6 page, but one that Motorola confirmed and Google has also listed on a press page.
Finally, the Nexus 6 will have Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile, although the feature will only be available to users at some point in 2015 following a software update, according to T-Mobile’s own Nexus 6 announcement.
The Nexus 6 will be available from all major U.S. carriers, in addition to the Play Store and other retailers in November, with preorders set to start in late October.
