Facebook, the world number one Social Media Site, have added one more mobile app to their apps inventory with the release of their Facebook Group App.
Realizing the upward trend in mobile apps and their own success with their previously release apps, the social-networking giant on Tuesday unveiled its newest app, which will serve little over 700 million people who use its “groups” feature every month to communicate with one another and share items like photos. The app, available for free Tuesday for devices powered by Apple’s iOS or Google’s Android, will also separate notifications from each group, ostensibly making it easier to keep track of their respective activity.
According to a news release by Facebook, “People use Facebook Groups every day to stay in touch with family, collaborate on projects, plan trips and offer support to friends.
Today, we’re introducing a new Facebook Groups app that helps people share faster and more easily with all the groups in their life. We built this app with the people who use Groups the most in mind…”
This move of creating Facebook Group App is a result of users wanting a standalone app with a concentrated purpose instead of wanting one app to everything according to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in conference call as reported by Cnet
1. Open the Facebook Group app. All your Facebook Groups will be in one centralize place when you open this app, therefore making it easy to navigate. Groups you use most frequently are at the top, and you can quickly move between each group
